The Team
Why Trailwalker 2008?
I did Trailwalker about 6 or 7 years ago and 2 of my teammates pulled out so we couldn't finish. I am determined to get to the finish line this year!

What do you think the hardest part of the walk/training is going to be?
Hardest part of the walk will be at about 3.00am when we are tired, smelly and over it and waiting for the sun to come up and motivate us again. Hardest part of the training will be staying focused.

What do you usually do for fitness?
Next question..................
........mmmmm not all that much at the moment so better get active again.
I think Freshwater headland is going to become a good friend for an afternoon run

What's the hardest thing you've ever done?
Competing in an Olympic Distance triathlon was the most physically challenging so far and jumping out of a plane at 10,000 ft the most mentally challenging.
Zoe Blanusa - Zoe
Why Trailwalker 2008?
Always wanted to do one and the Melbourne one
always happens around the time of on-campus sessions for uni, so this was ideal.

What do you think the hardest part of the walk/training is going to be?
Not be being able to do much training on the Sydney trail is going to be difficult. I will be relying on my team mates for assistance in that respect. I will be training hard down here in Melbourne in the Dandenongs.

What do you usually do for fitness?
Anything that take. I usually walk into work and/or home (approx 5-6kms each way), jogging/walking, some gym work, and kickboarding as have a problem with the rotator cuff in the shoulder plus a little bike riding.

What's the hardest thing you've ever done? Hardest thing would be a
toss up between climbing Mt Fuji at night while being the only english speaking person in the group and climbing the mountains in Nepal over a 10 day period.

Otherwise juggling working full time, full-time study, exercise, maintaining friendships and trying to make sure you eat (I’m a glutton for punishment).
Naomi Turnbull - Nomi
Why Trailwalker 2008?
I was looking for a challenge and when the girls were looking for their final team member I jumped at the chance.

What do you think the hardest part of the walk/training is going to be?
Putting up with the girls! Or will it be the girls putting up with me when I’m in the zone with my smart arse comments...

What do you usually do for fitness?
I run almost everyday and moonlight teaching sailboarding.

What's the hardest thing you've ever done?
Completing the marathon on Mt Everest from Base Camp down in Nepal last year.
Lachlan Francis - Lach
Why Trailwalker 2008?
I cheered a girlfriend across the finish line last year and I was so proud and inspired. So when Zoe asked if I’d like to do it I didn’t hesitate.

What do you think the hardest part of the walk/training is going to be?
Getting my dodgy knees across the finish line! The walk is going to be a massive physical and mental challenge. I’ll put in the hard work to be as strong and fit as possible, but the mental training is a different challenge altogether.

What do you usually do for fitness?
Kick boxing/cardio/weights/resistance training twice a week and a cycling/Pilates class once a week. I have been training for a few months and plan to up the anti in the coming weeks.

What's the hardest thing you've ever done?
There are many times I’ve thought a situation was the hardest thing I’d ever experienced and then something else comes along. The hardest thing is always the challenge that I’m yet to conquer.
